About Me

ABOUT ME

Stories matter. Words matter.

I believe in the importance of diversity in the world and in books. The power of seeing something of yourself in a book is phenomenal. I'm here to help authors tell the stories floating around in their heads.

Businesses and entrepreneurs also have a story to tell. They need to spread the story of how their product/service/idea can help their customers.  I'm here to ensure clarity in those communications and help businesses put their best foot forward on their websites.

Why Trust Me?

In one word—collaboration.

I know how hard you work to get your story onto the page. As your editor, I will polish and protect your word babies. I know how important an author's manuscript can be and want to make sure that while I help you tell your stories, I am doing so in a manner that leaves your voice intact.

My dream to become an editor began when I was a child, too young to be reading the romances I favored! After an attempt to write my own on a family road trip, I decided I preferred to read other people’s stories and wanted to help authors make their dream of writing and publishing.

A Wandering Path

I graduated university with a Bachelor of Arts in English, focusing on editing and technical writing. I spent the next 17 years in the corporate world writing and editing technical documentation and corporate communications, as well as creating and editing online eLearning. My career path led me to become an Instructional Designer and I loved helping others learn, but it was no longer what I wanted.

I decided it was time to return to my passion.  If you need a fiction manuscript, novella, or short story edited—reach out to me. I also edit web content and corporate communications.
