Developmental Edit

A developmental edit is available once you have finished your manuscript.  It can be completed before or after a Beta read. I will read your manuscript through at least twice, point out potential issues, and give you suggestions for improvement.



You receive:

• Word document with Tracked Changes
• Comments within document showcasing possible problems
• Suggestions/opinions within document
• Editorial letter describing the manuscript's strengths and weaknesses and specific suggestions on ways to improve

Copy Edit

The copy edit process begins once you have completed the manuscript. I will dig in and  correct spelling, grammar, usage, and punctuation. l will also edit for consistency and accuracy across the manuscript.



You receive:

• Word document with Tracked Changes
• Comments within document for queries or suggestions
• Style sheet that includes character and setting elements along with other stylistic choices
  

Proofreading

Proofreading is the last process before you publish. You're almost there! I will check text for spelling mistakes, missing or incorrect punctuation, and style inconsistencies. I will also check for heading and page layout issues.



You receive:

• PDF with comments describing the change needed
• Word document with Tracked Changes

Manuscript Evaluation

A manuscript evaluation is helpful even if you haven't finished your manuscript. I will read your manuscript and give you suggestions for improvement. This service is less expensive than a full Developmental Edit and more thorough than a Beta read, because my focus is on your specific concerns and only includes the evaluation letter.
